I found this photo in the album of my father's photographs covering 1926-1930
It was taken from the West Bridgford side of the Trent, or from a boat. The War Memorial is said to have been opened or unveiled on 11 November 1927.
Between then and now the arrangement at the front has been altered, as this photo taken on 3 March 2016 shows:
